The father of Vincent Van Gogh was the Sexton in a small village in the Netherlands called "Zundert", close to the Belgian border. The house next to the church was the place where he brought up his two sons Vincent and Theo.
The father of Vincent Van Gogh bought the house in 1863 (Vincent was 10 years old). He collected 60 gulden (current value €30 or $42.05) to rebuild the place. See video for more details about the current condition of the house.

Red de oude kosterswoning te Zundert !
De voormalige kosterswoning, die werd gekocht en opgeknapt door de vader van Vincent Van Gogh, werd onlangs van de sloop gered. Nu is het de inzet van een wedstrijd die nog slechts enkele uren loopt. De woning is gelegen te Zundert op slechts enkele kilometers van de Belgische grens. In de video krijg je een mooi beeld van de woning en de omgeving, alsook de staat waarin het zich momenteel bevindt.
Ik heb het Van Gogh Huis te Zundert gebeld en het is een haalbare kaart. Ook wij kunnen vanuit België onze stem uitbrengen. Belangrijk om zoveel mogelijk mensen op een korte tijd te mobiliseren. Breng zo snel mogelijk je stem uit door op de gele knop te klikken!
